Fenrir March 2001 - February 20th, 2004

On December 13, 2001, we adopted Fenrir and his pal Ragnarok. They had ended up as rescues by the time they were 9 months old. They were neutered since they fought a lot and a few weeks later they could meet the girls Troja and Pandora. The intro was easy and soon we had a happy rat group. Fenrir got along well with everyone. Fenrir also got along well with Shrek who joined us in February 2002. Sadly, Fenrir lost his pal Ragnarok in October 2002. We had to separate Shrek and Ragnarok a few months earlier and now we had two single rats. So we re-introduced Shrek and Fenrir. Not an easy process but eventually they got along and spent a long time together. Fenrir has never been ill one day in his life. He did get hind leg paralysis but could manage well after we had the ubercage adjusted. Shrek, who suffered from the same paralysis, was a very solidary rat and the two elderly gentlemen enjoyed their old age together. On his last day, Fenrir acted normally, wrestled with me, ate some nutrical and munched on an avocade. Then he snuggled into his beloved Foofferdome and a few minutes later he had died in his sleep. I am sad to lose him, but also happy to celebrate his long healthy life and painless death.

Fenrir's quirks:

	Beautiful. Stunning.
	Healthy all of his life - never even sneezed.
	Due to non-handling in his youth, Fenrir was prone to panic attacks when somebody held him for too long.
	Another dedicated stasher.
	Very friendly with other rats, he reminded me of a hippie dude in his behavior.
	In his youth he was totally fond of food. And a little pudgy
	Fenrir had a faint rat smell. He was not the alpha type of rat.
	His fur was silky and smooth and he always cleaned himself thoroughly.
	Fenrir had his own fan club on the ratlist.
