Istani - -February 2007 - February 20, 2009

Istani's time on this earth has ended last night. She gradually became weaker over hours, her body temperature sank and she finally died in her sleep. Istani came to our home together with her childhood friends Vabbi, Elona and Varesh. She was an exceptionally beautiful rat, with gorgous soft, orange-silvery fur. Istani was very active, curious and a bit shy at times. She had suffered a mild stroke a few months ago which left her with a slight head tilt. She could get along splendidly with it tho. She spent her last months with her friend Varesh. I will miss my soft silky Istani and she has a place always in my heart. Travel well, love, and say hi to all the other guys on the other side of Bifröst.

Istani's quirks

	The softest, silkiest fur ever. Her colour was astonishing, sort of orange-silver.
	She had sneezing fits and despite all my worrying that's all it was, no danger to her really.
	Istani was the friendly soul of the group, she hardly ever quarelled and got along well with everyone.
	In the mornings, she loved to get a share of my hard boiled egg, it was always a special treat for Istani.
	Istani was our "water-rat". She would use the pool all year round and loved to be in the water. Therefore her tail was always spotless.
	She never bit anyone but chose rather to lick any finger that got near her.
