Vabbi - -February 2007 - November 26, 2008

My beloved Vabbi has left us today. A grave illness has made her very frail and confused, we suspect it was a pituitary tumor. After seeing that she would not get better, we helped her over the bridge. Vabbi was my little darling. She was a very tame rat, always loving and never in a bad mood, unless one of her underlings got cheeky or tried to take her food. Vabbi was the alpha rat in my little group of four (now down to Istani and Varesh) and Vabbi was my first dumbo rattie. I will always remember her with love and she will live on in my heart. She has spent a little over a year with us and really enjoyed her life. I am very happy to have known such a beautiful and lovable litte girl.

Väbbu, you are in my heart forever.

Vabbi's quirks:

Loved her food and knew exactly it came from the kitchen. She would camp in front of the kitchen door waiting for one of us to enter.
She went everywhere, especially in the "forbidden" rooms, like bathroom and computer room. Luckily she never ate any cables.
As a dumbo, she had a broad forehead and this really funny walk. Her head would go from left to right when she was determined to get somewhere.
Vabbi instantly loved everyone she ever met. One look, one sniff and she was on top of the people, knowing full well, they would succumb to her charms.
No one would try to steal food from Vabbi. She was a born alpha and had a temper.
Whenever Vabbi met one of her fellow ratties, she would immediately follow them and groom them. She loved to be among rats and humans alike.
